Step by step
- Clean the space. Arrange your image or murti and materials. Wash your hands and sit quietly.
- Bring the purpose of your worship to mind. Remember the divine in the manner of your household tradition.
- Light the lamp on a safe, stable surface. Offer water and flowers if this is part of your family practice.
- Read a related prayer below that belongs to your practice. Open the available meanings for unfamiliar words.
- Offer naivedya. Perform your familiar aarti if customary. After the prayer, share prasad.
- Sit quietly for a moment, then put materials away. Do not leave a burning lamp unattended.

From installation to immersion
For a temporary household installation, decide the duration, daily practice and closing procedure in advance. One online method does not govern every home. Seek guidance from your family or temple. Follow local civic and environmental rules for immersion. Do not put prohibited or polluting materials into waterways.
